A Special Message from AHIMA Regarding Required
ICD-10 CEUs for AHIMA Credential Holders due 12/31/2015

ICD-10 CEU Requirement Extension Update:

The Commission on Certification for Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM) has approved an extension of the date by which ICD-10 CEUs can be earned.   The new deadline to earn and record the required number of ICD-10 CEUs is March 31, 2016.

As the original policy requires, affected credential(s) will be placed in “inactive” status following your original deadline - December 31, 2015 or January 31, 2016.  During the inactive period, individuals may earn and record additional ICD-10 CEUs in order to satisfy the requirement.  Please view the Extension Notification for further details.

Please view the ICD-10 CEU policy here.  If you have additional questions, please also review the FAQ document and video.

The ICD-10-CEU Reporting Tool is where ICD-10 CEUs should be recorded if you are not able to enter them into the CEU Center for any reason.

SCHIMA MEMBERS:  If you need assistance in identifying online/web-based ICD-10 CEUs to fulfill your requirements by 03/31/2016, please contact the SCHIMA Central Office at info@schima.org
for a list of resources.  Thank you!
